It's crystal clear - stars appear in movies and in the circus and Oscars are awarded\u00a0for best actor\/actress, screenplay, direction, music and more. Those other stars, the Michelin kind, are bestowed\u00a0on top chefs. Does this all mean there's no chance for people like us to ever get\u00a0one of those coveted trophies? Maybe there is...<\/p>\n

Zwar nur privat, aber daf\u00fcr mit viel Spa\u00dffaktor, w\u00e4re so eine Koch-Party gut daf\u00fcr geeignet: Ein echter \u201eFilm- und Schlemmerabend\u201c mit Freunden, die einzeln oder paarweise kochen und mit Phantasie-Hauben, zwei bis drei Sternen oder dem \u201eKoch-Oscar\u201c ausgezeichnet werden. Belohnt werden alle mit Unterhaltung und k\u00f6stlichen Men\u00fcs.\u00a0Den Schwierigkeitsgrad bestimmt der Gastgeber selbst. Wer nominiert ist, kocht los! Zur kochenden Untermalung und f\u00fcr kreative Aperitifs und Vorspeisen eignen sich zum Beispiel das Elfenbrot Lembas aus Der Herr der Ringe, <\/i>das Butterbier<\/i> von Harry Potter <\/i>und sicherlich Kir Royal<\/i>. Hauptsache, es wird ein anregender, lustiger und spannender Abend unter Freunden:<\/p>\n

And the Oscar goes to...?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Ich hab f\u00fcr heute Abend ein paar gute Freunde zu mir eingeladen. Mal sehn, wie lange wir dann wirklich durchhalten werden. Spannend sind ja allein schon die exklusiven und wundersch\u00f6nen Abendroben der Schauspielerinnen. Dieses Jahr wird zum 86. Mal der Oscar verliehen. Zu meinen absoluten Favoriten z\u00e4hlen \u201e12 Years a Slave\u201c. Ich bin mir auch sicher, dass der Film so richtig was einheimsen wird, nachdem er in neun Kategorien eine Chance auf eine Auszeichnung hat. \u201eThe Wolf of Wallstreet\u201c mit Leo Di Caprio hab ich mir nat\u00fcrlich auch schon zu Gem\u00fcte gef\u00fchrt. Ein sehr spannender und am\u00fcsanter Film. Teils etwas langwierig, aber definitiv nach meinem Geschmack.<\/p>\n

Leider bin ich bis dato noch nicht dazugekommen \u201eDallas Buvers Club\u201c anzusehen. Hab aber nur Gutes dar\u00fcber geh\u00f6rt. Auch er hat Mehrfachnominierungen. Genau genommen sechs an der Zahl, unter anderem f\u00fcr Matthew McConaughey als bester Hauptdarsteller. Seine abgemagerte Gestalt in der Vorschau hat mit doch ein wenig abgeschreckt. Ihm w\u00fcrden meine k\u00f6stlichen Snacks, die ich f\u00fcr die Oscar-Nacht mit meinen Freunden geplant habe, sicherlich gut tun. Vor allem, weil sie sogar als eher gesunde Snacks durchgehen. OK die selbstgemachten Popcorns mit Erdn\u00fcssen und Chili vielleicht weniger, aber daf\u00fcr die Birnenchips und definitiv die Energiekugeln. Durch deren Energiekick werden wir auch bestimmt den Gro\u00dfteil der Oscar-Nacht mitverfolgen k\u00f6nnen.<\/p>\n

<\/b>Homemade Peanut and Chilli Popcorn\u00a0<\/b><\/h2>\n

Homemade Popcorn<\/h3>\n

<\/b>Ingredients for\u00a04\u00a0people<\/b><\/h3>\n

200g popcorn maize\/corn<\/p>\n

100g salted peanuts (with the shell)<\/p>\n

6-7 EL\u00a0corn oil<\/p>\n

\u00bd\u00a0tsp juice<\/p>\n

1\u00a0pinch (Sonnentor's) chilli powder<\/p>\n

Preparation:<\/b><\/h3>\n

1.) \u00a0Roast the peanuts in a dry pan until fragrant. Remove from the pan and, while still warm, mix with the chilli powder.<\/p>\n

2.) \u00a0Heat up the oil in a pan,\u00a0add the popcorn maize and immediately cover with a lid. Fry over a medium heat until the kernels burst.<\/p>\n

3.) \u00a0When all the kernels have popped, mix with the peanuts and season with salt.<\/p>\n[\/print_this]\n

Energy Balls with Dates<\/b><\/h2>\n

Energy Balls<\/h3>\n

<\/b>Ingredients:<\/b><\/h3>\n

200g dried, deseeded dates<\/p>\n

100g (gluten-free) oats or rice flakes<\/p>\n

4 TBSP\u00a0honey<\/p>\n

4 TBSP\u00a0sesame seeds<\/p>\n

4 TBSP\u00a0grated coconut<\/p>\n

100g almonds (with the shell)<\/p>\n

1 orange<\/p>\n

\"Oscar5\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Preparation:<\/b><\/h3>\n

1.) \u00a0Juice the orange. Mix 2 tablespoons\u00a0orange juice with the oats or rice flakes in a bowl.<\/p>\n

2.) \u00a0Halve and deseed the dates and finely chop them\u00a0in a food processor, together with the almonds. Add a tablespoon of orange juice, if needed.<\/p>\n

3.) \u00a0Then add the honey and mix well with the oats. In a separate dry pan, fry the sesame seeds and, in a second pan, the grated coconut. Let everything cool down for a bit.<\/p>\n

4.) \u00a0From the date and almond batter, form around 28 evenly sized 2cm balls and roll them in the sesame seeds and grated coconut.<\/p>\n

5.) \u00a0Line a baking sheet with parchment and distribute the balls evenly. Let them dry for at least an hour.<\/p>\n[\/print_this]\n

I found this great recipe in Bernadette W\u00f6rndl<\/a><\/b>'s new cookbook\u00a0\u201eVon der Schale bis zum Kern\u201c<\/b><\/b>. I\u00a0absolutely adore\u00a0this masterpiece of a cookbook and all those delicious recipes and will definitely present more of her creations on this blog in the future. Simply because I love them!<\/p>\n

Pear Chips<\/h3>\n

3\u00a0pears<\/p>\n

200g\u00a0sugar<\/p>\n

1 tsp\u00a0Sonnentor's ground ginger<\/p>\n

1 pinch of\u00a0Sonnentor's cinnamon<\/p>\n

Preparation:<\/b><\/h3>\n

1.) \u00a0Preheat the oven to 150\u00b0C. Combine the sugar, ginger and cinnamon in a bowl or a large, deep plate.<\/p>\n

2.) \u00a0Very finely slice the pear (you can use a mandoline slicer\u00a0for this).<\/p>\n

3.) \u00a0Dunk each pear slice into the sugar on both sides and put on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Dry in the oven for 20 minutes on each side.<\/p>\n

The pear chips aren't just delicious as an in-between snack with some coffee, they also go well with cheese and are a great garnish for sweet and savoury dishes.<\/p>\n

Serve the snacks with Kir Royal, sparkling wine and Gin Tonic.<\/p>\n[\/print_this]\n
